I haven't had my baby yet so my words are probably pretty unconvincing. But I don't think you should send the kid home just because of POTENTIAL work, study, and worse yet, another kid. Why do you want to sacrifice the kid you have for a maybe baby in the future? The only circumstance I would understand sending the kid home is if a parent is very ill and can't take care of the kid. Hope I didn't offend you, just wish for the best for your baby.
