Please Help !

P星期一，二，一直给AUSA打电话，也留下录音，但一直没法联系到他，今天忙，没打
电话，回家收到律师的信，内容如下：Dear Judge XXX: This letter is written
to inform the court that I will be handling this case and to respectfully
request that a status conference be scheduled.
这是什么意思？为什么程序与这网上说的不同，他为什么不接我电话而要开会呢？这个会讨论什么呢？心理好恐慌？
