Can you believe the NZ Police? The body lay in the boot of the car (owned by the runaway father, replete with his company's signwriting all over it) right outside the front door of the house for days and the Police never thought to look in it. There were neighbours and news media and locals leaning on the car and sitting next to it, while the Police ignored it. The NZ Police spokesman said in the media conference that "it wasn't as simple as just breaking into the locked car boot," and that Police needed to "wait for paperwork and car keys". Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous. This sort of bureacracy makes the NZ Police look completely incompetent. What an embarrassment to New Zealand. If Police are no longer permitted to open a car boot during a suspected murder inquiry without filling in forms in triplicate in advance then NZ might as well totally abandon the idea of having a Police force.
