Pictures are beautiful. My first day of skiing was at Squaw in the 90s, 2nd day at Heavenly. I believe Homewood might be the one where I went as a never-ever and didn't even get to stand up on my skis much. I was sitting on my butt miserably with skis on most of the afternoon....
Deep in my heart, I always have a soft spot for Tahoe skiing. It's a special place for me. I since skiied Squaw a couple of times, but would love to ski Heavenly again. But I don't want to deal with the drive to Heavenly..... I recognize the Squaw rock because every times I saw it from the gondola, I could literally feel my heart sink.
