Because the machines (treadmills, bikes, steppers, etc) all have electronic meters to tell how much cal burnt - I make sure to burn at least 250-300 cal for one session. I found if I set the treadmill at 4 miles/hour, and 20-25% incline, I can work off that much cal within 45min. Good enough for me!
I actually quite enjoy swimming against current and really like that feature on all Grand Class Princess ships. They also have 2 good size elongate pools that most of the time one can swim laps during certain time of the day.
Celebrity does not have current pool, but an oversize, gigantic message pool which does not help a bit for exercising. The other pool on Celebrity is too crowded for swimming.
