There is no kiddie discount because they take up seats as well. Besides, "lap child" is not really a safe way to travel - if there is a suddent air current, without seatbelt, the lap child could easily got thrown up and hit against the ceiling.
If I have a kid, I would not save money and let him/her travel as lap child - besides, lap child age limit is 2.
Dont expect tickets to Orlando in X'mas time would go down in the same fashion as tickets to places such as Yellowstone or Grand Canyon in Thanksgiving or X'mas - Orlando is warm in winter and X'mas is school holiday peak time plus snowbirds peak time... Unless you go skiing or enjoy hiking in the cold, you wouldn't go to YS for the winter time. After all, I can bet you for every person who goes to YS in winter, there would be 10 or more persons who go to Florida for winter. Supply and Demand.
