Igore my 2 cents but here is what I think

This time of the year, too cold to be on water in Tahoe, not cold enough to ski (sounds like you don't ski anyways), whatever fall colors there is in Tahoe are most likely gone by next week. And you said you 不赌博. So I am thinking there is better time of the year to visit there.

I have mountain biked in Tahoe before and wonder if it might be too cold for biking. It does get quite windy at times. I would think hiking would be another activity (if you are up for it).

I very much doubt you need chains in early November. I would think minivan would be safer and more comfortable assuming a safe driver.
