Date on the ticket may be different than the actual date

as I found out in California for moving violation. Not sure about Colorado.

In California, as I recall, there was a window between they issue the ticket and process it. And the actual deadline is later, as I recall. Most people who appeal in person would most likely be able to get their ticket cut in 1/2, if they plead guity. I found out by calling and checking the state/county website and appealed via mail.

My whole point, it's worth a try. If you don't try, you pay the full fine for sure. If you try, you at least have a chance to reduce the fine.
