I did personally know 1 couple who fell asleep at the wheel

missed a curve on an interstate and got into a major rollover accident. Lost their car, ambulanced into the hospital. When I visited them in the hospital, the situation can only be described as "can bu ren du". Wife broke her leg and went through major surgery. They later joked her leg is a "gold" leg. It was summer and they didn't get medical insurance to save money. Fortunately, they both ended up OK.
