Between Boca and Ft.Lauderdale, there is a long stretch of white sand beach (Delray Beach), I think it is a State Park, not sure. You can park right at the curb side and walk down to the beach. It is not as white as St.Pete but is whiter and smoother than the beaches at Ft.Lauderdale. Further south of course you get Miami Beaches.
