I was not grow up in 胡同, but all of my friends who lived in 胡同 wanted to move out. 胡同 is not as good as what you think, especially washroom was so stink and bad. Of course, rich people want live in 胡同, but those 胡同 are not typical common 胡同, they are only for rich people.
