Bear safety site-it is important

It does happen more often than you know. The week I went to Glacier NP, a black bear attacked a campground and killed someone one night.

It's better to be prepared. Someone else went to the park and did not have problem with bears - doesn't mean you won't.

I have run into bears on day hikes of very popular trails (not backpacking). Have seen bears wondering under the Grouse Mountain Gondola in Vancouver.
