Here are a few tips:
-June may be a little early for some places. Peyto Lake, for example, was still frozen the year I went in June. Of course, each year is different.
-I loved the hike to the tea house along Lake Louise. The scenery is heavenly beautiful. Amazingly, they served Chinese dragon well green tea at this mountain tea house, accessible only by hike. Down at the Fairmont, they played a German horn - so our hike was accompanied by "sound of music" echoing in the beautiful valley and turquis green/blue lake.
-From Banff to Lake Louise, take the loop and you get to see Castle Mountain and some other sceneries along the way.
-Take a boat ride on Malign Lake (Jasper) and canoe on Morraine Lake near Lake Louise. There are many other lakes you can go boating on.
This is a place I'd like to return again and again.
