现在父母探亲已经不能作为dependent了吧?

今年有新规定，说必须是绿卡或者公民才能作为dependent了，以前用在美国居留的日子数作为标准已经不能用了。

怎么下面还有那么多人认为探亲父母可以作为dependent?
难道我的理解有误? 各位可不可以讲讲?
