I don’t doubt that Dr Li wrote the Memoir. But I seriously doubt that the contents were actually what he meant to write or say. Some contents may have been revised, altered or added by him or by someone else to meet someone’s hidden agenda.
The other strange thing is that Dr. Li was very quiet after the highly acclaimed book was published. Normally an author would go on a book tour to promote the new book. Look at Chang Jung.
After all the controversies surrounding the book came to surface at that time, Dr. Li or his family did not rise to defend his integrity (or did he?) like Chang Jung and her Chang Pu vigorously did. Did he die or was he ill shortly after the book was published? It’s like a mute person swallowed a bitter pill.
