Hi, everyone. Please help with this.
I sent my kids back to China in 2003 with a travelling visa obtained from Chinese Consulate in USA (they have US passports). The visa was expired a year later. After that, I was told that I should apply a temporary residency card for them. I didn't do that. Others said it was not necessary, just apply a 出境卡 from the police department when they want to leave China.
Is this true? Where do they apply? The police department of the city where they leave China?
Thanks for the help
Doesn't matter. I had a same experience as yours. When your kids plan to come back, just go to local 出境 guan li chu (sorry it is PIn Yin) to get 出境卡. 出境 before the expired date. It is fine. I sent my kid in 2001, came back in 2004
