我的boston一个朋友, 在收到140rfe之前被laidoff, 140rfe 是在找新工作的途中交的, 140还是批了, 当然那时可以同时交485申请ead. 后来他就一直使用ead工作.

for you, to your safety, you need to secure a new job as soon as you lose your current one. if you can not find a new job immediately, you will lose your h1b status immediately. once you are out of status, you will have to leave here even if you have ted your 140.

if you can your 485 along with 140, the story will be different.
