When I apply EB1, I have 1 patent and 15 applications (all US) plus publications (15). After 1 year, they require more evidence. At that time, I have 4 patents and 16 something applications. My I-140 was the denied after another freaking year. Then I appeal, at that time, I got 8 US patents and a lot of applications. After another 1 ½ yaer, my I-140 was approved.
I am still waiting my 485 while people filed EB2 or EB3 got their green cards 2 years ago.

THINK TWICE TO APPLY EB1!!
