lady at Melbourne when we told her we were heading to Cairns - that was in August 2 years ago, so it was their winter. That lady happened to be from Cairns, she said it was the right time we went, and DONT GO in the months of Dec to Feb - very hot, very rainy and very humid. That is all hear say fyi.
