Air Force Base + Mt. Rushmore one day, 3:00pm, take ½ hour tour, 1 hour in museum, leave AFB about 4:30, at least need 1 hour drive to Mt. Rushmore
You will not make Wind cave before last tour, I believe around 6:00PM, the tour take about 1:30 hour. There are many camp grounds near by, and motels as well.
So you will take cave tour next morning, and just driving through Wind cave national park and back to I-90. About 2 hours distance to Badland National Park, The park open 24/7, exit I-90 at Wall (Walldrug) DO NOT STOP, Ok may stop buy lunch. Entering the park from West gate. Just drive through, stop scenic spots. The best time to watch is later afternoon or earlier evening when sun is getting low. The Park has camp site and also cabins or cottage near East Gate. The camp ground is dry camp (no hookups), so last time I was stay in cabin. You have very tied schedule. I have not been free camp site, and can not give you any suggestion. In Black hill area you can using campfire. Hope this will help you.
