allies themselves with 台聯. At least officially, 陳水扁's Green party still allies with 台聯. Still haven't seen 陳水扁's reaction to this yet and only very few Green party members had some public reactions. Next step is to see whether 陳水扁 has the balls to disconnect with 台聯 or be silent (the same as still ally with them). Since if this is 李登輝 idea, he basically kill off many ROC's people that was sympathetic to his 台聯 even if 李登輝 spoke against this which I highly doubt he will in public. If 陳水扁 speak against this or his party did. Then the independence movement in ROC will splinter and thus their chance of independent ROC will be reduced yet again. Either way, this incident will cause a ripple effect within ROC and further reduces chances of an independent ROC idea among its population since the parties that is leading the independent movement seems not leading to true independence but to Japan. Comparing Japan and PRC, which is better to join would be next big issue after this independent movement dies probably. HA
