I've never seen this country so divided - financially, racially, and morally. People are either angry about paying too much in taxes or angry that the government isn't taking care of them enough. Financially, this country is in a lot of trouble and I'm not sure how much longer we can borrow cheap money to keep everybody happy. When the financial system collapses and we are forced to cut the lower class off of welfare, section 8 housing, free medical, etc, things are going to get ugly. People in this country (especially the lower class), don't have the morals that they did two or three generations ago. The lower class has proven this even with their stomachs full and a roof over their heads. They rob, murder, rape, and steal for petty reasons. Can you imagine how they will act when they are hungry and out on the street with a low police presence? It's not going to be pretty. I don't want to try to survive with my family in the city when things go south. When SHTF, there is no sure way to get food or water. Security will be tough with so many lower class people around.Americans and have no clue about how cruel people can be or how bad things can get. I've worked in many countries around the world including two war zones. I've seen a lot of evil and hatred but believe that some of the most evil people in the world live in the lower class in the USA. If SHTF, I don't think rich clueless white folk living in urban America will last long.
