 Contract Position: IT Report Writer (合約聘用)

Work location: Houston Area, Bellaire, Texas

Contract Duration: 6 Months to start

The Report Writer is an IT technical resource dedicated to capital projects. The Report Writer is a member of Deployment Services, and is responsible for report requirements, design, development, installation and migration.

Required Qualification:
5+ years of experience in the following:
· SSRS or Crystal Reports technologies
· Oracle or MS SQL, stored procedures, views, and functions as they are used within report development (e.g. non-transactional, applications development)
· Certification in reporting tools (prefer but not required).
Basic Skills in Requirements gathering and reporting documentation


Key responsibilities:
· Understanding, gathering, analyzing and documenting and business and technical requirements for reporting, and/or assist IT Business Analysts with requirements on larger efforts.
· Develop reports that meet requirements.
· Develop and/or maintain a data dictionary, report catalogue, and general documentation such as report design from front to backend and any report-related metadata.
· Document stored procedures and update to maintain accuracy during the course of a project.
· Follow and/or recommend best practices for report development
· Develop and execute report test plans.
· Follow user, admin, system support, technical and programming documentation guidelines set by project and support team.
· Identify and resolve reporting issues.
· Meet project deadlines/schedules and provide accurate estimates.
· Provide timely reporting on project deliverables to Project Managers including the identification of risks and mitigations, issues impacting the project scope, schedule etc.
· Be proactive in suggesting reporting improvements/solutions and identifying report opportunities.
· Following Pipe Line IT methodologies, design and code review processes, standards and architectural review, guidelines and requirements.
· Develop Reports using SSRS, and Crystal Reports.
· Develop stored procedures, queries, views, functions etc. for reporting purposes
· Train support personnel as part of reports rollout. Train users and/or assist IT Business Analyst with report training.
· Monitor performance of reports and take corrective action to optimize or improve performance when necessary.
· Reconcile discrepancies between customer expectations and information presented in their reports.
· Validate and prove accuracy of data presented in reports.
· Interfacing in a professional manner with System/Support Analysts and the business to complete required tasks, obtain approvals, etc.
