Contract Position: Front-end Web Developer

 Overview of Contract Position:

 A global energy company is looking for a front-end web developer with .NET experience or similar server-side scripting experience.

 The front-end developer will be needed to build and maintain internal and external facing websites, computer-based training modules and mobile websites using the internal .NET templates and coding standards.

The project team does not utilize WYSIWYG editors and as such the developer should be an expert at hand-coding XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. Basic image manipulation and editing skills will be required, using Photoshop.

 Position Details Responsibilities for this position include:
• Hand-code XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Coordinates with project managers to deliver changes to clients
• Assists with website design and information architecture

 Required qualifications:
• Proficiency in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Proficiency in at one server-side scripting language (e.g. ASP, PHP)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• Ability to interact with individuals from multiple disciplines and backgrounds
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest best practices and development techniques

 Preferred qualifications:
• VB.net and C#
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, including JQuery
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, especially Section 508
• Usability expert (CUA)
• Photoshop
• Experience with version control systems
• SharePoint Knowledge a plus
