To be eligible for free Medicare A, you do need to have 40 points. Otherwise Part A monthly premium is over $300. However there is a Medicare Savings Program that will pay for the $300 monthly premium if the person is eligible. 纽约和新泽西很多中国老人都是通过此途径拿到免费的 medicare A and B.
