Initiate more positive attention when everything is good, and

 

do not react to her behavior with negative attention.

Children need attention, positive or negative.  If they can get it by behaving badly, they'll bahave badly (do they know good from bad?).  They feel the power and control when they can make you jump.

Don't believe that?  Just watch a baby laugh when he throws a ball on the floor and you chase after it.
