where would you like to live/work/retire, 弯曲 or Houston?

 

最近在做税，于是，算了如一笔帐。

假设：  年薪20万， 20万买房

加州:  州税：20x10%= 20k/yr  地税： 20万X 1.02%=2k/yr

德州： 虽然免州税，但要收5%地税？ 20万房x5%=10k/yr

由此可见，打工要去德州，因为收入税低； 退休后没啦收入，5倍加州的地税，还是蛮昂贵的！

结论： 退休前去免税州，退休后去低地税州。

请教： what's sale tax rate in Houston?  加州：8.5%
