hedge the right way

you can do a few things:

1. sell some upside call;

2. sell some upside call and buy some downside put to create a collar;

3. sell some correlated stocks/etf - this one does not work very well for hedgings since the correlation might work well; the upside is that this is the safest way to not voilate companies heding policy.
4. you can ask someone to sell LNIN short for you and after lockup period, you settle with them. I have seen this done, but this gets tricky for its legality.
