买房做地主赚钱算不算投资?

 

昨晚没事与老婆争论，她说不同于买股票，那是earned income，不算投资；而且，报税时明确归类到earned income。我说：只要拿钱出去弄多点钱回来就算投资，她反驳说那开个店找个活干（最多是个企业主）也算投资？

其实这是个无聊的话题，只要抓到了老鼠，就算好猫了。老婆说得有道理，买了出租房，不是问题的解决，而是开始。想想JY在2011年有30多个evictions，有多少工作量啊。平时还有大量的工作：招租、维修、处理房客的问题等等，租金是靠完成这些工作后获得的，当然是去earn income了。我说，那我可以什么都不干，只叫他人干，最后的结果就是拿钱出去弄多点钱回来，广义少说也是投资啊。
