最近发现前房主动过地基，还可以追诉前房主吗？

房子是５个月前CLOSED， 近来房子侧墙出现一条两英尺长的裂缝.
检查后发现前房主动过地基，掩饰得轻易看不出来， 但从没有向我提起过。

请问怎么处理此事？还可以追诉前房主吗？
