Bank accpeted our offer. It is REO house. Investment property. Just read through the disclosure. It mentioned about "megan's law-sex offender database". Neven thought about checking this information before. By chance went ot the database and checked. Surprisingly I found two sex offerders live close to the house(within 500 feet) we are going to purchase! One even lives in the house agaist the backyard!
Got really concerned, want to get some idears from people who know about this. My questions are:
1. How this is going to affect the resale value of the house we are going to purcahse?
2. We planned to rent this house out. Does renter normally check this information too?
3. How much concern people normally will give regarding sex offender?
4. Should we still go with this house or back out?
