Why accumulate that much on you couple instead of gifting to your kids from when they were young? Your wealth could trigger inheritance tax. 

 

Gift to your kids every year after they are born?  (Young couples need money the most)

contribute to 529 every year, even after kids are out of college? Money into this bracket is not your money any more.
