雇contractor

请问各位老地主们，你们雇人干活都要问他们自己有insurance吗？我觉得很多handyman是不是都不会自己买保险，但看网上说雇人到家里干活要确保他们自己有保险，一旦受伤不用你自己的homeowner insurance索赔。大家都很小心吗？
