房子里面浸水问题大吗

买房子已经过了inspection,到了贷款阶段，办home isnurance时发现去年在一楼的laundry room水漫金山，波及到旁边的厨房，地下室几间房间。保险赔了将近2万用于维修，很大一部分是各个房间的换地板刷墙。卖主事先完全没有提起这件事，在purchase sale agreement里还说房子没有重大damage, basement没有进过水。估计事发后基本没修，所以他们拿不出维修发票。

因为是几十年的老房子，原来看着地板状态不怎么样以为是太老了。现在很担心下面有发霉，墙后说不定也发霉了。这种情况下，我们怎么做比较好：1）可以要求卖家如果额外credit吗？因为在不知道房子浸水的时候，inspection时是不会去撬开地板或墙壁检查的。2）退出，律师说我们应该没问题，因为卖家撒谎了。3）有什么其他选择？
