什么时候换electric water heater?

一年半前买房子时，inspector说water heater挺老的了，可能过不久就会fail了。我的electric water heater是A.O. Smith的，生产日期是Jan,2005。不过到现在它还工作的好好的。有时我也看到有锈水出来。我现在要把它换了吗？还是等它不工作后再换?
