水管的密封方式。

经常有人水管漏水的问题。讲一下我的经验。

我知道几种的密封方式。不同的密封方式修理的方法不一样

1）"Flange fittings generally involve pressing two surfaces to be joined tightly together, by means of threaded bolts," from Wiki

有些厨房和浴室的水盆用的是这种软管。garden hose 也用的这种 Fitting. 我们公司的一钳工给我讲如何接这种Flange Fittings。“connect it first, just hand tight, then open water, tight it until stop leaking. DON'T OVER TIGHT. over tight could broke washer and cause leaking. Don't use pipe sealant".  我想这样做的好处是可以延长密封圈的寿命。

有些厨房和浴室的水盆用的是这种最便宜的塑料料管

2) Pipe thread (NPT or BPT)

老房子的 galvanized pipe 和 gas pipe 用这种fittings。You can get free thread cutting form HomeDeport when you buy pipe.

用这种fittings 需要 plumping paste.    没有扭多紧(牛顿米)的标准， 但有扭多深的标准。

一般靠经验。第一次干可以参照上面的连接。

3) compression fitting

冰箱的水管。

以前只卖有执照的。现在谁都可以买。没有经验的最好别用。我一般有black pipe for gas.
