四十万是一个坎

个人收入四十万的确是个坎。夫妇之间有一个人到了这个坎 ，另一个人一定会考虑还要不要继续工作，尤其是拿W2的工作。为什么呢？因为这时另一个人的收入起码交一半的税，如果在加州、纽约市这样的高税率地区，可能60%的收入都会给UncleSam。可是我认识的人中，很多人最后还是继续工作。有些是喜欢工作，有成就感。还有些是消费高，在湾区四十万真不很富裕，如果自己收入还可以的话，继续工作孩子们就可以上私立，小黑屋可以不那么小那么黑。
