When we go to market we always ask for the 2.5lb up, sometimes we got lucky and found 3lb up... I usually just boil them in water w/ginger and scallion - dump the crab in boiling water, wait till the water comes back to boiling pt, and let it boil for 5 min. Turn off fire/heat, let it under cover for 10 to 15 more minutes depending on size. The easiest and laziest way but also the most delicious (original taste) way to cook the crab, at least in our family.
only 2磅以上 can be meaty. Below is too small to enjoy.
