超市偷窃，恳请老猫,STP,大神,和其他各位朋友指点

今天在walmart拿了一瓶化妆品$32放在包里，结帐的时候没有结。被抓。警察来了。承认自己偷东西。现在很害怕，精神都快甭溃了。也不敢告诉老公，只好上网来求助。不知道这种罪有多严重，会不会入狱？警察说他也不知道，可能有up to 一年的监禁。但是后来又问他，他说第一次偷，可能给500 元罚款。我明天要去 警察局， 好像去照照片。也给安排了什么时候去法庭。我问他，会不会通知我的employer，他说不会。我会不会被送监狱？我是否要承认偷了动西？对我申请绿卡有影响吗？我会被驱逐出境吗？ 我在田纳西。

请帮助我。
