人身攻击.

In my opinion, 就事论事 means no judgment call and no insulting words. If you use any insulting words, it becomes  人身攻击.
 
One person I can think of that is doing a good job on this: 虎落平原. No matter how badly others insulted him, he always maintains his cool, and just bush off all the attacks with great ease.  That is the way to show you have characters.
