I do like Santoni a lot, but frankly I am not feeling the tassel loafers in your post. I believe they are blake construction, light, and confortable. Aesthetically they just don't appeal to my eyes. I like some models from Santoni FAM (Fatto A Mano) or limited edtion lines. They are decadent, beefy, and substantial. Some of the lasts are sheer elegant. And hand polishing and antiquing are just phenomenal.
Santoni Limited edition starts at north of $2,500. I have not yet been able to imagine myself spending that kind of dough on a pair of RTW shoes.
