浅谈篆刻和我的篆刻

本来贴在新开张的书画坛的，但摄谈才是俺真正的家，所以一稿两投，再贴一次。

虽然印章的历史可以追溯到战国时期，但篆刻作为从书法分支出来的一门艺术壮大发展还是明末清初的事。

和书法有颜体柳体一样，篆刻也有许多流派。除了继承秦玺汉印之外，还有徽派，浙派等等。邓石如，吴熙载，赵之谦都是晚清的重要人物。后来近代在想摆脱这些陋习的努力中，出了几个对后来影响甚巨的大家，吴昌硕，黄士陵，齐白石都独树一帜。而当代的篆刻我认为有些迷茫。很多人意识到了篆刻不能墨守成规，要有时代感，但在方寸之地里开辟那么一小片既含古意，又与众不同的新天地，谈何容易。所以当代的许多篆刻家要不然就是泥古不化，要不然就象石开那样，刻出来空前的但粗野无际的东西。韩天衡是少有的既能继承又能创新的好例子。

我在三十年前就把篆刻的历史和各流派研究得滚瓜烂熟（现在忘了不少了），深知在篆刻里创新的不容易，退一步讲，就是真寻找到了自己的一套风格，能被接受还是不容易。所以我不想把很多精力放在几乎没有成功希望的探索中。综观我自己的篆刻作品，虽然在比划上力求体现活力，卖弄些刀法技巧，构图上有时耍些小聪明，但总的来说还是很传统的一路。篆刻上我没有经历象书法那样上下求索的烦恼，也没有花太多的时间，实际上是事半功倍的事。
