Warning!
There are people who are in the business of acquiring animals for research and others who acquire large dogs who are then cruelly trained for sale as guard or attack dogs. These individuals often pretend to seek animals as family companions and bring children or senior citizens with them to gain your confidence. Don't think it can't happen to you.

Tips & Warnings

Never use advertising that says you're giving the animals away for free. I've heard too many horror stories about this. Probably one of the scariest was my grandma's cat had kittens, and she posted them on a bulletin board as free. A guy responded that he wanted to take all of them--for his boa constrictor! Luckily she found out why before he came over, but also you have to factor in the people who wouldn't even tell you the truth. If you can have some sort of filter process such as charging a price, you're better off.
