please help choosing between two trip plans

I am planning a trip for July next year. One part of the trip involves going to Disney (there are 3 kids age 14, 10, 6 in our group and two grandparents). I am trying to decide between:

1) Go to Orlando where we can see Disney world, Universal Studio, Sea World and Kennedy Space Center, and maybe nearby beaches;

Or
2) Go to Los Angeles to see Disney Land and Universal studio, then to San Diego to see Sea World.

Which trip would be a more pleasant trip and provide more "value" for people coming from China? (My main concern about Orlando is weather: too hot and humid, possibility of hurricane...)
