《牧场上的家》是一首经典的牛仔歌曲，有时被称为美国西部的“非正式颂歌”。堪萨斯州史密斯县的布鲁斯特M. 希格利博士(也拼写为Highley)在1872年或1873年写下了这首诗“我的西部家园”，至少有一个来源表明这首诗早在1871年就写了。
1947年6月30日，《牧场上的家》成为堪萨斯州的州歌。2010年，美国西部作家协会(Western Writers of America)的成员将它选为有史以来最受欢迎的100首西部歌曲之一。
