should you rethink what you are doing

我最近刚刚看中了一个房子,付了1000$的EARNEST MONEY,

因为我们觉得我们的要求很合理,

但是卖家威胁我门说,他们不会退我的EARNEST MONEY,
如果我们要是想要钱就去法庭告他们,法院判我们赢他才还我们钱.

我现在觉得就是很郁闷,本来买房子是很高兴的事情,可是被他们这么一弄,心情坏透了,

今天和老公商量了一下,决定赌气不买了, 反正现在又不是买不到房子,

My opinion, if you like the house. You should let it go.
The carpet is old, you should not keep it cause you don't know what jem is hiding inside. TO clean the all the items you mentions, it should not more than $500.

The time and effort you spend on the case will probably more than that.

I personally believe you just don't like the house. Carpet and fireplace just an execus.
