两年前的车祸请教

今天突然收到一封律师信， 是有关两年前的车祸。
Below is part of the letter:
"Please be advised I am the attorney Travelers Insurance Company has asked
to defend your interests in the above-reference lawsuit. I am a salaried
employee....
Travelers has asked me to defend you in the above-captioned lawsuit that
you recently ted to it...
这只是一个小车祸。我的责任。但我的车只掉了点漆，而对方的车前胎扁了。当时
被托走了。没有人身伤亡。救护车是来过，但马上走了，没人当时去医院。我以为
早就没问题了因为是两年前的事了。但刚才查了一下claim infor发现我的case仍是
open。有没有人碰到过这样的事呀。问过周围的朋友，车祸比我严重多的都没碰到
过这样的事。BTW,对方是黑人，不知会不会比较难办呢。我都已经离开那里一年了。
请给我点建议吧。万分感谢。
