state FMLA

I just got a job offer when I am now 12 week pregnant, how shall I tell the company that I am pregnant? Shall I tell them before accepting the offer or after I start the job? I am afraid that the company will take back the offer if I tell the truth before accepting the offer, but I am worried it will be an awkward situation if I disclose the truth after I start the job. What should I do? Does anyone have similar experience or advice to share? I am in Illinois, I know federal FMLA does not cover employees who work for the company for less than 12 months, that is, I will not have paid maternity leave. But how about state FMLA? Can I take some time off after delivery to take care of the baby and myself, even it is unpaid leave? Can I apply for short-term disability?

Many thanks…
