As long as she pays well (on time) on the mortgage, you will get benefit (credit) from that, and you can buy a house on your own anytime;

on another hand, if she ever made a late payment or failed to pay, your credit will be ruined.

why don't you do something insdead of just waiting: call the mortgage company and let them remove your name from that loan.
