Hi, man, do not let the unprofessional advice here mislead you. Assault can be criminal or civil. If it is criminal, which means the prosecutor (destrict attorney) is in charge of pressing the charge, you got to find a good criminal law attorney. With regard to the issue of break and entry, I think, you may assert implied consent, since you had been to her appartment when you were still bf and gf. Moreover, you may also argue that when you followed her, she did not manifest objection to your entry. Do not be silly, it is not the end of the world. Only the court may determine whether you are guilty or not. Just go find a lawyer, and let him handle the case. You may end up with some fine or community service as punishment for first violation. It may affect your record, but just minorly.
